Welcome to ChillTax! Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully. They govern your use of the ChillTax website and mobile application (collectively, the "Service") operated by Wibbly Works Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Not Financial or Legal Advice

This is important: ChillTax is a software tool designed to help freelancers organize and estimate their taxes. We are not a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm, nor are we a law firm.

  • The output generated by ChillTax does not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for the final tax returns you submit to any tax authority.
  • We highly recommend consulting with a qualified tax professional before filing your taxes. We are not liable for any tax penalties, audits, or miscalculations resulting from your use of the app.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of ChillTax, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

ChillTax offers premium features accessible via a paid subscription.

  • Billing: You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (e.g., monthly or annually), depending on the plan you select.
  • Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
  • Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle. We do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods.

4. Prohibited Uses

We want ChillTax to be a helpful, safe tool. You agree not to use the Service:

  • For any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.
  • To engage in fraudulent activity, including providing false financial information.
  • To attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer any of the software comprising our Service.
  • To interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or performance of the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, functionality, and design elements (including our neo-brutalist aesthetic) are and will remain the exclusive property of Wibbly Works Inc. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Wibbly Works Inc., its directors, employees, partners, agents, or suppliers, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (iii) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
